Recruiters Say: Should Salary Ranges be Disclosed?

What about being open about available salary ranges in job ads?

That’s one change Danai Pappa Krosse, a Talent Acquisition Specialist, would like to see in recruitment.

“If there is a specific budget, then I simply don't get why sometimes recruiters aren't allowed to disclose it,” she notes.

According to her, in an ideal world, salary offered should be fixed and written in the job ad.

“Yes, dear clients, I know that may create competition with your competitors but listen to the recruiters: everyone in HR/Talent already knows what the market or each company is offering. It is not much of a taboo any more, people do discuss salaries with each other, and I think that's okay!” Danai concludes.

Workfully's mission is to create the most trusted recruitment experience in the world, aiming to give everyone their chance to build a better world. We are building a decentralized hiring ecosystem for the talent acquisition industry, where recruiters can independently grow, engage and monetize curated talent pools for the benefit of all.
